Refund Policy

TL;DR: We want you to be happy with your purchase. If a product is genuinely defective or doesn't work as described, we'll make it right within 30 days. Because these are digital downloads, we can't offer refunds simply for change of mind.
Digital Products
All FreelancerTax products are digital downloads delivered instantly after purchase. Due to the nature of digital goods, we generally cannot offer refunds once a product has been downloaded.
When We Will Issue a Refund
We will provide a full refund within 30 days of purchase if:
- The product file is corrupted or cannot be opened
- The product does not function as described on the product page
- You were charged in error (e.g. duplicate purchase)
- The product contains material errors in tax calculations or CRA compliance
When We Cannot Issue a Refund
- Change of mind after download
- You didn't read the product description before purchasing
- You lack the software to open the file (all products specify Excel/Google Sheets compatibility)
- More than 30 days have passed since purchase
How to Request a Refund
Email us at [email protected] with:
- Your order number
- The product name
- A description of the issue
We'll respond within 1-2 business days and work to resolve the issue. If a refund is warranted, it will be processed through Stripe to your original payment method.
Free Products
Free products (such as our Tax Deduction Checklist) do not require payment and are therefore not eligible for refunds.
